Our leadership brings together deep expertise in structured finance, field operations, compliance, and digital strategy, all applied to one focused mission: protecting and repositioning vacant properties at scale.

Michael Clinton
Founder & CEO
Michael Clinton is a real estate operator, capital markets strategist, and development executive with 19 years of experience structuring complex transactions across residential, commercial, and institutional asset classes. He has developed hundreds of institutional-quality units across multiple states and structured over $1.3 billion in transactions for family offices, developers, and institutional investors.
In addition to founding Boarded to Built, Michael serves as Acquisitions Director at MID Construction and Midos Development, where he leads a joint venture program that brings institutional financing and development expertise to landowners and developers holding shovel-ready, unencumbered projects — turning stalled ground into completed assets. Essentially, developers contribute projects and the team provides the capital, underwriting, and execution to bring them out of the ground.
Boarded to Built is the nationwide expansion of that program applied to the residential and commercial blight problem. Where MID and Midos focus on ground-up development, Boarded to Built targets the earlier stage — properties that have equity but lack the capital, strategy, or operational infrastructure to be rehabilitated and monetized. The model is the same: bring money, expertise, and execution to assets that owners can't move on their own.
Michael founded Boarded to Built because the vacant property problem is fundamentally a capital markets and data/intelligence problem wearing a field operations costume. Cities, banks, and private owners are sitting on assets with real value — they just can't see the path forward. His job, across all of his platforms, is to make that path visible and then build it.
He holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He sits on the board of the YMCA Weingart and is a CA licensed Real Estate Broker. He is also the founder of Gauntlet Private Investments and The Redline Hotel Group.

Sheila Prunty
Chief of Staff
Sheila Prunty is the operational backbone of Boarded to Built. As Chief of Staff, she oversees field technician coordination, contractor hiring, regulatory compliance, payroll, and the day-to-day systems that keep a geographically distributed operation running with precision. Sheila brings a rare combination of institutional discipline—honed through her career with the federal government—and the operational agility a fast-growing startup demands. She is the reason commitments made to clients are commitments kept in the field. With both an undergraduate degree and an MBA, Sheila applies a structured, process-driven approach to every function she touches, building the infrastructure that allows Boarded to Built to scale without sacrificing quality or accountability.

Chief Financial Officer
J'on Dennis brings nearly two decades of public accounting expertise to Boarded to Built, serving as CFO and ensuring the financial integrity and reporting standards that institutional clients, lenders, and cities require. As Managing Partner of Dennis Duncan & Covington LLP—a California-licensed CPA firm based in Los Angeles—he has built his career at the intersection of accounting, technology, and institutional finance, holding leadership positions at national and regional accounting firms as well as a Fortune 100 company.
What sets J'on apart is the breadth of his expertise. His background spans public accounting, SEC reporting, and a foundational degree in Computer Science—giving him a rare ability to understand both the financial and technological dimensions of a platform like Boarded to Built. That combination is exactly what a company managing large-scale vacant property portfolios needs: a CFO who can speak the language of institutional investors, lenders, and regulators with equal fluency.
J'on's accomplishments have been recognized across the profession. He was named one of the youngest African-American Partners in a Top 100 Accounting Firm at age 35, selected as an Emerging Leader in Public Accounting by Boomer in 2016, and elected to the California Society of CPAs' Statewide Technology Committee that same year. He also serves on the boards of several Los Angeles-based nonprofits—reflecting the same commitment to community accountability that defines Boarded to Built's mission.

William "Bill" Clinton brings over three decades of technology leadership to Boarded to Built—and the kind of institutional credibility that gives clients confidence in the platform behind the service. Bill began his career at IBM and has since built a career defined by one consistent outcome: complex technology projects delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. His experience spans roles as programmer, program analyst, IT project manager, and business owner—giving him a full-stack understanding of how technology organizations are built and how they fail.
At Boarded to Built, Bill is responsible for the technology infrastructure that powers the monitoring platform—ensuring that inspection data, photo documentation, compliance tracking, and client reporting are reliable, secure, and built to scale. His deep expertise in project management, risk management, and process optimization—developed across both the private sector and municipal government—means the systems Boarded to Built depends on are engineered with the same rigor that institutional clients expect from their own operations. For cities, lenders, and insurers who need to trust the platform as much as the people, Bill is the reason that trust is warranted.

Kenneth T. Brookins leads Boarded to Built's operations across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region—one of the most active corridors in the country for vacant and distressed property. He brings over a decade of hands-on real estate experience spanning acquisition, underwriting, construction, leasing, and long-term asset management. As a licensed architect in the state of Maryland, Ken brings technical precision to property assessment that most monitoring platforms simply don't have—evaluating not just current condition, but structural integrity, code exposure, and realistic paths to stabilization or redevelopment. For cities, lenders, and institutional owners operating in the Mid-Atlantic region, Ken is the direct point of contact and the person accountable for results on the ground.
